Camp Description
Fire Ants baseball camps will teach individual fundamentals by position and skill level. We strive to instruct every aspect of the game of baseball.
The Fire Ants baseball camp will provide the best possible baseball instruction for players of all ages and skill levels in a structured and fun environment. Each camper will receive specific, quality instruction on how to play the game and how to improve themselves both on and off the field. Skill and techniques will be improved through individual and small group instruction.
Staff:
The camp will be staffed by the USC Sumter baseball coaches and players as well as coaches from other schools.
Important:
Each session will be limited to the first 100 campers registered for each session!! Make sure to register soon as these camps will fill up.
Registration:
Players can register online at http://www.uscsumter.edu/fireants/index.php/baseball-program.
Walk-up Registration will be from 7:45-8:30am on Monday June 9, 2014 at the gate of the USC Sumter Practice Field. (Based upon availability)
Full Day Schedule:
8:30am Orientation/Motivation
8:45-10:00am Batting Practice & Individual Instruction
10:15-11:45am Team Concepts & Individual Instruction

Equipment:
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, helmet, bat, batting gloves and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Please mark camper's names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.
Facilities:
The USC Sumter Baseball Practice Facility is where the 2014 Region X Champions practice. Other auxiliary fields on USC Sumter's campus may be used. Nettles Gymnasium Indoor facility are available should inclement weather arise.
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
Camp Check-in:
All campers must check-in 30 minutes prior to the start time on the first day of each camp session.
Merchandise:
Each camper will receive an official Camp t-shirt at the beginning of each camp session. Other camp apparel will be available to purchase during each camp.
